Exactly this! I've tried updating to v16.02 with & without a fresh install from both the latest version available via Vanced Manager & the releases posted on here, also using the latest & previous microG's clearing cache etc & have encounted problems signing in everytime! So I can only assume like the above poster that the problem is with the app release itself & not with microG or the technique used to update to v16.02. Have gone back to v15.43 & everything is working problem free as it should be/I'd expect. Think I'll wait for another new update from v16.02 before I try anything else as it's been driving me nuts!
