Quite possible that the Android apps are more conformant to the STB specs they are emulating and transmit info like DEVICEID fields to the servers and because of that, they are "blocked" since they don't match what is expected. Some servers do all sorts of account locking to try to minimize account hacking. DeviceID locking, Geolocation locking, and lately I've even seen ISP locking. Obviously Geolocation can often be overcome with VPN. ISP locking is not perfect, but it does limit the number of people which could hack the account, but has the side effect of people not being able to use the service remotely if they travel. DeviceID, well it is dependant on the software being used, to be compliant. I know of a few servers which finally enabled DeviceID, and had all resellers notify all their customers to fill in the fields if they were using apps like stbemu or similar, and the service would marry to the deviceID.
