It`s not letting me sign in? Hitting "add account" is doing nothing

It`s not letting me sign in? Hitting "add account" is doing nothing

I had this happen to me a few days ago and it turned out to be easy to fix.

I went to settings accounts and opened MicroG* and deleted the account in question.

Then I just opened Vanced YouTube and added the same account I just deleted and this time it allowed me to log in.

*I should note that I updated MicroG to v0.2.24.220220 also.

I installed all three apks; seems to work until I cast to chromecast on my tv - it says Google play services needs updated, and doesn't connect to the tv. I have the newest beta for Google play services. Anyone know what might be going wrong?

I also get a message that battery optimization needs to be turned off for microg, but when it opens the optimization window mi rog isn't in the list..

I just tried on my Chromecast with Google TV and it gave me the same Play Services error. I'm guessing Google/YouTube updated their API and that's broken casting.

On my TV I have ChromeCast with Google TV and I'm running SmartTube Next, I linked that app on my TV to my YouTube Vanced app on my phone, and that still seems to be working as a casting device in the YT Vanced app.


The MicroG has to be always running because it's servicing as your account manager for these Vanced apps.

If you bring up the apps under settings and poke around you should find MicroG and then you should find the battery settings for it. It's a little different on every phone but once you find MicoG under settings/apps you'll find the battery setting you're looking for.
