What's confusing about it? v2.6.2 was old version with old api and no one was updating any latest version so it was displaying old version as the latest one, this one has updated api so it's showing you the latest available one.

I was assuming it would display 17.27.xx as the "latest" version. I see my mistake now - when I actually went to update, it gave me 2 options for 17.27.xx that I could select.

This is not true! Dear inotia00 one supports YouTube Vanced and for quite a long time, it's strange that they only found out here. It brings Vanced features to new versions of YouTube.

Everything works fine, the only thing that doesn't work is:
Known Issues
- RYD does not work
- HDR Brightness setting not working (only on some devices)
- For NON-ROOT version, microg must be installed.


This is not ReVanced, which will be collected here 100500 more times and then collected again 100500 times.

Are there any workarounds for landscape HDR mode? During evenings that 100% brightness burns my eyes

Works fine here, make sure you haven't paused your search history setting.

The reason the old quality layout doesn't work anymore for some people after 17.26.xx is that Google is testing a different layout with some users. (this is the reply from the modder and is probably the cause of it).

I should not complain since it free of charge and for a good purpose - but after installing, Google Play wants to update and then all effort is gone (ads, etc). Or do I do wrong?
Using Revanced-version I don't seams to have this issue....
