yes i'm sure first try the official let us know if worked ok, as far as the box like mine if you put in developer mode then it will work, i have cpl other boxes i dont use anymore both with 1st release nougat 7.0 just tried & this new version untouched official doesnt work lol & neither box allows dev mode thats why i quit using them.....cheers

@ QuietPlease nightmaire to mod lol doesn't work on emulators either now so was a tough 1 for me this time. I guess I've been modding this for that long now that I'm able to do it on the blind without even having it installed.Lets see how long it is before tubi lift it further

theres supposed to be a script patch that only works on devices 7.1, 7.0 that was posted on elmos blog but his blog hasnt worked since ukraine invasion & his email gets no response
you can try 1 click root but don't blame me if you brick box

I changed the SDK to 24 with Apk Editor and now I can install but the icon shows as the little green android guy instead of the Tubi logo. Help/advice please?

I tried the original apk on hifi`s site and it`s also showing a minimum of 8 needed.

They will continue to support firetv but guess we might have to attempt to mod the amazon version.

If you could take a look at the amazon version in the future I know I would really appreciate it. I use Tubi a lot and bring stuff up on it for my parents. If you have time and feel like it of course.

It seems to be working so far but I haven't watched a full show/movie yet. As for the green robot it's not a big deal, I can live with it. It's just a cosmetic thing. lol

Smart Fire Tv's. They run the equivalent of Android 7.1. I have a Firestick 3rd gen I haven't set up yet, don't know what android version that uses.
