Its so frustrating. It was working fine for about 5 hours but then it started doing the Black screen buffering again. I've tried everything. I honestly don't know what to do right now.

The black screen buffer thing happens because of some activated settings. I don`t know which ones yet but I noticed that if I restore the app as default it works but as soon as I import my settings it stops working.

I've also noticed the same behavior... You might change settings and have it working for a bit but the next day it will start buffering again. For now I'm using a solution provided in the previous thread which required to Uninstall both microg and youtube revanced. Reinstall youtube and then Vanced microg version !0.2.24.220220!. After that open youtube setting-> extended-> misc and select open microg to login. It's been working great so far.

Already workaround given in info section :

If you experience playback issues, go to Settings ➤ ReVanced Extended ➤ Miscellaneous
and enable "Spoof player parameter" and "Spoof player parameter type"

For guys like me using an older version and cannot find the spoof parameter option, I disabled the protobuf spoof that I saw there instead (I found it enabled) and it worked.

Using the `spoof` fix seems to be only temporary, but uninstalling MicroG (I was still on the original version) and Revanced Extended and installing the latest versions has worked for me.

Me too.

I downgraded to YouTube 18.25.40 (available on here), enabled spoof, and perhaps most importantly, enabled spoof player parameter type. The latter makes YouTube believe that the video is being played in incognito mode, which resolves the endless buffering issue. The video is still saved in history though, along with last playback time, etc. Hope it keeps working, no reason for me to upgrade.
