Just wanted to report that I got a banner ad today from this version. Haven't gotten one again yet though after an hour or so.

Just encountered a video and banner ad.

I'm also not able to publish tracks to Facebook.

Worked well for with the initial, dismiss this ad on app start up after splash screen. Today I experienced ads that I had to wait for when switching stations.

the differences is the version sorce code. The Tohandr's version is using the Free Market Version modded. The Rydah's version is using the Subscription Version "Pandora-ONE" modded.

Both are version 5.0, and offer the same hacks.

The plus side for the Rydah's version of Pandora-ONE is that you can achieve higher quality audio then the free market version (Tohadr version)

Pandora Free Market version steams 48K in low mode and 96K in high mode
Pandora-ONE subscription version offers streams of 96K in low mode and 192K

Check <settings, advanced, higher quality audio>

I was not aware that there were 2 versions of Pandora around. Where did you hear that there is a ONE subscription version?

This is my understanding, too. I am under the impression that there's only one version from the Android market. If you have a Pandora One account, you go to the settings in the app, enter your credentials and it unlocks unlimited skips, higher bitrate songs, etc.

I'm pretty sure the 192 rate is for your PC streaming only. Not mobile.

From their website: http://help.pandora.com/customer/portal/articles/90985-audio-quality
Pandora on the Web plays 64k AAC+ for free listeners and 192kbps for Pandora One subscribers. All in-home devices play 128kbps audio, and mobile devices receive a variety of different rates depending on the capability of the device and the network they are on, but never more than 64k AAC+.

You are so wrong, it's not even funny. There is only one Pandora, and that is the free version available on the Google Play store. I guess you can say there is another version, the Amazon Kindle version. But there is no 'Subscription Version "Pandora-ONE" modded", it's just stupid. If you are basing it off of the splash screen, my Xposed module can enable and disable the Pandora ONE splash on the "Free Market Version" too.

decompiled both version. Seems Rydah's size increase is mainly due to graphic file "...\Pandora_5.0_Unlocked_Public_Rydah805\res\drawable-xhdpi\bg_onboarding.png" scattered across a few folders inside "res", his sizes is 2mb+ in total after watermarked his signature on the lower left corner where the originals total less than 500k. My guess is he watermarked his release but forgot to compress to lower resolution graphics.

so.....aside from the going back and forth about where credit is properly due..........is the release in the OP. Ads or no ads? Skips?

Seems like some people have been experiencing ads with this version recently. I actually am still on the previous version, so I can't tell you any more than what other people are commenting.

oh, good...so using the free (modded) version I can save on my data consumption!! Sounds like a win-win, to me :) That makes this the lowest bandwidth consumption of any (pro subscription-based) music streaming app I've found. Yeah, better ausio quality is a big deal, but when I hit my cap I only get 2g speed, and streaming is just not going to happen.

Just got another banner ad on a separate device. Not an isolate incident it seems. Does anyone know how to edit Rydah's release to compress the picture to reduce the file size?
