I installed this on my Nexus 5. As soon as I open it, the software tells me that I need to install the codec for it. If I press OK, it takes me to the Google Play page for the codec and I can download it but when it tries to install, I get a "-505 unknown error code" failure. I can't even get in to MX Player Pro to specify a zip file to use for the codec.

I am also on N5 with Lollipop. Installed "MX Player Pro 1.7.32 (NEON)" and everything seems fine. Haven't got time to test it extensively. Just played a short video. "MX Player Pro 1.7.32 (NEON)" bundles the required codec for N5 and needs no additional download.

I even tried downloading the ARMv7 NEON codec installer APK from the developer's web site but that one fails during installation also. I just installed the standard MX Player instead since my phone is rooted and blocks ads anyway. At least that version allows me to select the codec zip file manually.

I'm not sure but you can download the top link, the regular version and upon installation and first run, MX Player will tell you.

Mine asked for the NEON (I'm on S3) and gave a market link, which I ignored and then downloaded the NEON Codec from OP, installed and everything works great :)
