If I press OK, it takes me to the Google Play page for the codec and I can download it but when it tries to install, I get a "-505 unknown error code" failure. I can't even get in to MX Player Pro to specify a zip file to use for the codec.
I am also on N5 with Lollipop. Installed "MX Player Pro 1.7.32 (NEON)" and everything seems fine. Haven't got time to test it extensively. Just played a short video. "MX Player Pro 1.7.32 (NEON)" bundles the required codec for N5 and needs no additional download.
Ah, now I see what the problem is. I downloaded the release from the first download link in the Mobilism Market app which does not label the different versions unlike the forum here. Yes, if the correct version is downloaded, then the codec error should not appear. The custom codec available at the XDA MX Player forum may still be worth downloading and configuring manually, anyway, since it offers DTS audio decoding and the official codec pack does not.
