Overview: WordNet is a large lexical database of English with up to 140,000 entries and more than 1.4 million words, developed by the Cognitive Science Laboratory at Princeton University.





Instead of following the standard dictionary format, the WordNet dictionary is organized with an innovative and convenient approach. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms, interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. In addition to the straightforward definition the dictionary shows how each word is linked to other words in terms of synonyms, opposites and similar words, but also hyponyms and hyperlinks within the group.

The resulting network of meaningfully related words and concepts:

Question: The offline dictionary data is nested in multiple directories. Can you explain which folder needs to be moved to sd card, and whether it should be placed in a specific location?

Also, is this the exact same app as is listed under the brand Collins? Or is it a coincidence they both have the same version number at the moment?

Just install the app and run, then download inside the app, make u easiler to get.

No, you have to manually download the data. Just toggle the offline mode to on and the data will be downloaded.

Some dictionaries like this one and Oxford allow you in-app downloading of offline data. But others like MW and Chambers do not require any download as their apk files are large and contain everything.

would it possible to reup this file. there have been no further updates since it was originally posted.
