Will this version 'work' like the old (sectional) one, as shown above?
Their new 'path' concept is impractical, counter-intuitive and useless. There is no way to excercise specific topics, repeat lessons about tenses, adjectives etc. Just random crap with no real goal.
After 500days and >100000 points, almost always on diamond level I am about to bail for that reason. It simply makes no sense anymore.
I hope this version will over-install; I hate to remove and reinstall apps, often lost valuable data this way (Torque!).

Sadly no, as much as we all hate the new path there is no way to get the old one back. You could try using an older apk version but I don't know if it would work.

I was happy to still have too. Then they changed it and I lost some of my progress. It's ridiculous!

Tried this, even a reinstall, crap.
While I didnot lose all my credits I decided against DuoLingo, will no longer use it.
There are a plentitude of other language apps out there, some better, some worse.
The trick is to find one that fits one's personal needs and habits.
DuoLingo was great for its easy selection of topics, fairly simple interface (forget the incentives).
I learned >2000 words Spanish with it in one year; now I can switch to any other tutorial to fill gaps and brush it up. Maybe a good thing, as Duolingo is repetitive in its pool of phrases and words anyways.

Is it possible to update this app to the last version sir Balatan?!

I have dug up "Duolingo-Premium-v5.69.5_build_1463-Mod_UserUpload.Net" in my own archive.
It still works, shows and records my points and credits - and has the old interface and lecture layout.

Duoklingo follows the same path as "Weather Pro" or "K9 Mail": developers tend to 'improve' their apps to death, an overzealous urge to destroy good designs and interfaces.
New is not always better..

also, if you don`t like the update, it doesn`t mean it`s bad or "destroyed". I like it more rn than before. k9 mail is also very good. Weather Pro i give you that.

Worthwhile reading the notes as to why the "path" method is supported over the original method which encouraged "waterfall" learning. They are using evidence based practices... But I agree that it`s a frustrating change.
