I'm a little confused why MapQuest, when we already have Google maps. And what makes this better than Google Maps.

Some people don't like Google, some may like the interface better, may want to use it as a backup for searches (in case you get some bad results from Google Maps), may get better performance out of it (lighter than Google Maps), there's no end to the possibilities!

Excellent App! At first I was skeptical...who needs this with all the Google & Sprint navigation. But it has other very convenient features right there and offers a slightly different perspective. It's way smaller than I thought AND moves to the SD card, so it's not much of a commitment or memory hog.

You can have international maps by selecting openstreetmaps as source.

this is a great app, but it does not cache maps or waypoints offline. not much use for me navigating...
