Google Maps for root users isn't signed properly (at least not the Ul mirror).
If you resign the file manually, it works.

finally it worked for me.. :D :)
i tried dis way - download Google Maps 6.0.3 ownhere.apk and rename it to maps.apk and move this apk to system/app..Please DONT INSTALL maps.apk just move to it to the directory (u can use root explorer to move) then change the file permissions :
Owner - r w
Group - r
Others- r
no need to uninstall the original version :) :D
This worked for me :)
OR ELSE if u have uninstalled the original version of google maps and street view and wen u install ownhere.apk and its says application not installed...
Do this --> install it again (i.e Original Version) and follow the above steps it will work and if needed just delete the original apk and restart ur phone...and dnt forget to install street view :)
if any doubts..u can clarify :)
