I c a lot of questions about non rooted version, but I cant see any answer??

New update does not work. Please advise reasons and when can we get this fixed as I use Maps as my main source of navigation.

To the "Do/why i need root to install this app....
Maps is a system file.
You need to delete that file first, prior to installing this.
The only way to delete a system file is root access.
Installing this while Googles official maps is installed will only give you an error, signatures of the apk will differ.

Hence, you need root.

Hope this makes it clearer for some.

well, i think you figured it out in meantime, but for offline navigation I would recommend sygic.

signing in to google account with old version in note 3 N9005 is not possible.
so i can't save my places and i can't see my stared places with my account.
