Overview: Osmand is opensource navigation application with raster/vector maps



Osmand+ is an open source navigation application with access to a wide variety of global open street map data. All map data (vector or tile maps) can be stored on the phone memory card for offline usage. Osmand also offers offline and online routing functionality including voice guidance.
Osmand+ is the paid application version, by buying it you support the project, fund the development of new features, and receive the latest updates.

in my case, switching on the 'weather' plugin straight up bricked the app for me, now the app just crashes every time it is opened

I think the only to fix it is by 'clearing the storage' of the app in the app info screen + ouch

In my case, when I make a track, the path to follow is not visible, so I have gone back to the previous version, otherwise everything is ok

I have not tried this method yet but I think that using 'ADB platform tools' in conjunction with a previous version of the app's apk file, it might be possible to downgrade the app, the logic being that the removal of the offending 'weather plugin' implemented in the current version might help to resort functionality to the app for those who would find the idea of clearing all appdata untenable, from there, the latest version can be reinstalled and hopefully it will work without crashing by invalidation the aforementioned plugin

as an aside, I would recommend using a backup app such as 'app backup & restore pro' and a duplification app such as 'dual space', so as to avoid misfortunes such as these in the future

the Open GL 2.5D feature did not work on the smartphone I use, as another user has pointed out the navigation line and navigation itself seem to be malfunctioning

2.5D option doesn't show even OpenGL 2 is enabled.
