**The service is currently available in more than 55 European metropolitan areas. Urban Guidance is a Live service and therefore requires a data connection.

Note:
- Positioning your smartphone correctly in the vehicle is very important to ensure optimal GPS reception and for your own safety! Ensure that this is always positioned outside of the range of the airbags!
- NAVIGON is an on-board solution. This means that all map material, voice announcements and system files are saved on the telephone. Therefore no charges or waiting time for data transfer are incurred.
- The Europe version requires approx. 2GB of free memory. Please ensure you have sufficient available mass-storage space (SD card). The map material must be downloaded after installing the app via wireless Internet on the smartphone. Please ensure a reliable and safe connection is available.
- On first startup a short data connection (ca. 25kB) is required to register your product

Always use the old nfs
Install:
1. install navigon 5.2.0
2.1 switch wifi on
2.2. launch navigon for download what this apps want
2.3. switch wifi off
3. copy maps u choosed in the map directory (\sdcard\navigon\map\)
4. copy POI files in POI directory (\sdcard\navigon\POI\)
5. switch gps on
6. launch navigon and use it !

I see the same issue (error connecting after install), on a recent NEO 003 with Android 4.2.1
Standard trick (delete NAVIGON folder, move app between internal and SD, then reboot) did not help either.
Moving older app from an ancient 2.3.3 phone did not work either.
I saw that many owners of recent MTK phones with dual SIM (two IMEI, even if only one SIM inserted) seem to have this problem as well.
Any other 'crack' version that does not want to phone home after install?

Would be great for China cracker phones!

Finally i manage to get navigon work in my mtk6589 no1 n3 phone.Τhe way is little complicated but it worked at least for me.The steps i followed and if everyone wants to try and write if it also works for him
1.Download navigon 5.2.0 patched but dont install it yet.
2.Delete from your sd any navigon folder you may have and uninstall any version you may have install
3.You must be rooted and allready have installed and work the programm xposed framework.For instructions about this,search in google for xposed framework
4.Αfter you install and get working xposed framework,open xposed installer--->download and search for xprivacy module
5.Install it,check it in xposed installer-->modules and make reboot
6.After reboot,open xprivacy--->settings and scroll down until you see the button named "random address".Press it once and you will see that the word "DEFACE" in the next field it will change to random number and letters and press ok
7.Now install navigon and open it
8.Ιf anything is ok when you open navigon it will pop up a window from xprivacy programm which will say that navigon is trying to read the serial number of your device.
9.In this message press "deny" and wait.In next xprivacy messages press "allow"
10.If everything ok,navigon will start connecting to server and download the proper files
In this way i am running navigon in mtk6589 phone.Hope that helps and other users to run it

I managed to install this version by using a different method, the 'Sorglospaket' ('trouble free') approach offered by other (German) sites.
It basically relies on glitches of previous NAVIGON versions, overinstalls the new revision this way.
Working fine on my 4.2 MTK6589 device.
You can find the package with instructions and all add-ons when googling for 'NAVIGON Select Europa 5.2.0, Maps 1.Quartal 2014 (Sorglospaket, Blitzer, TrafficLive)' - but beware, all info is in German!
