Last clean version of WPS Office was 9.0.2. Devs have, since then, infested it with battery draining services and introduced lag where it did not exist.

Wish someone released a cleaned up / modded version free of that crap.

On the other note, big thanks and huge hugs to Balatan. Love your releases, especially Aqua Mail ones.

I am NOT trying to defend anyone, but I really don't see what you mean by "battery draining services" since I don't even have any services activated neither see anything from the wps app as active resource except for when I use it?? But then again...I can use it for hours without suffering to much battery drain. They had in one version a "sign up for a free pc version" campaign but they removed that fast...

can disable services with lucky patcher, 3C, others. which service cause problem ... ?

I agree completely. This app became crap ... dunno why. Constantly tries to leak data as my firewall shows me that it blocks it every so often ... quite annoying. Need I mention that it causes a screen lock? Say im viewing a pdf and i suddenly hit my power button cos i gotta run. If I then simply hit the power button again just to see what time it is and then i leave my phone in my pocket hoping it would automatically lock the screen ... well guess what - a big NO, screen remains lit cos it somehow detects that WPS is running in the background. Have had this issue with some camera apps as well. It is ridiculously annoying.

The solution - EBookDroid [offers great zooming in, havent found an app that zooms pdfs that much in ... awesome!] and the BIG one - OfficeSuite, which is the perfect replacement of WPS ... basically the same without the wakelocks and other useless crap. Try it and see. OfficeSuite is great!

PS - this has nothing to do with Balatan, whose releases I love
