droid-life wrote:So Evernote just received a giant update today, bringing it up to version 3.0. In it, you’ll find everything you see listed above. I’d say more, but instead I need to ask a few questions to all of the Evernote users in the building that I’ve been dying to find answers to.
What exactly do you all use this app for? It seems to have this cult following of tech geeks, but I’m just not getting it. What are you all taking notes of? I used it for X-mas gift lists last year and have used it for grocery trips at times, but other than that, I’m struggling to find reasons for this to be in my life. Is there an underground note-taking society that I need to join? Are you all sharing pr0n collection lists? I’d love to hear what I’m missing out on.

What do i use it for? Wish lists that i might come up with while on my computer it then syncs with my phone. Questions that i think to ask someone(Dr., lawyer, wife, whatever) i have them available to ask whether on the web, phone, my computer or someone else. Wish list from the phone while at best buy or wherever. A big one-Taking notes from home to be used on the fly-via phone and vice-versa. Clipping info from the web to be used on the fly i.e. recipes, ingredients etc. The best way to describe it might be to say that whatever you would use a sticky note or a list or a personal assistant that is what this app is good for. Oh yeah, btw the note taking app it has isn't half bad either- always writing something. Don't much care about all of this "cloud" app stuff but this is cool.

I am just getting started with Evernote. have been pushed to try it over the years, but never clicked.
Now I see possibilities. Taskos for a task list/grocery list I think is better. It integrates to google task list and has a very nice android widget that lets you swipe through the list to check it off.

But..one thing I just used it for. My unrooted Evo 3D needs me to take screen shots of the Sense layout. I did this with evernote using the camera in tablet...keeps all seven screen shots in one easy to access note.

Is there a difference between this version and free version of the Market?
