To get the premium features you need a premium Evernote account. Is this app patched in a way to allow premium features with a free account, or is it simply the free app?

As mentioned, you'd need an account to avail of the premium features, at 40 bucks a year.

Can anyone confirm? i currently have sensitive data on my evernote installation, i am unable to test it myself.

Though i doubt that it would work (besides, if this does work, you'd need a cracked desktop client to go with it, which to my knowledge doesn't exist). If not, then might as well just download this from google play.
