Then you're in a region open ai doesn't support, or your phone is rooted and your region settings are effed up, both are out of OP's control and definitely a you problem.

Maybe try adguard or some device wide vpn. Otherwise maybe a proxy, might require root to get around idk

GPT-4 app makers can`t afford costly servers like OpenAI or Poe.com use, so they nerf parameters such as the max number of tokens, temperature, and top P. So I get much better responses from GPT-4 at Poe.com. Nerfed GPT-4 needs a much faster server than GPT-3.5 with demanding parameter settings.

Most GPT-4 app makers probably use API calls to OpenAI instead of using their own servers. Most of them would be likely to reduce the number of tokens in API calls to reduce costs. They can also use prompt requests instead of completion requests and limit the context length to save money

My point is that many of us have been overestimating the value of finding modded GPT-4 chatbot apps. Unless an app maker can afford to pay for the best API calls or a super expensive server, their app will often provide less useful responses than Sage, Claude-Instant, or ChatGPT at Poe.com

Apps you can subscribe to with over 500k users like Genie would be more likely to pay for GPT-4 without nerfing it. Pay OpenAI or Poe if you need guaranteed non-nerfed GPT-4. Poe allows 600 messages a month before nerfing GPT-4 when over capacity, but you also get Claude+ which is better than GPT-4

I know it`s a lot to read, but we must understand these chatbots before choosing them! The best free or mod options are Bard, Sage at Poe, Claude-Instant at Poe, & ChatGPT at chat.openai.com (saves chat sessions!) Bard is trained often with new information, improved often, & is so much more advanced
