I have a copy of 1.x that came with my HTC Eris(US hero), if I install this will this over write the current quickoffice?

the app leaves traces in the phone even after uninstalling
if you go to Manage Applications, see ALL there will be Quickoffice (version 2.0-GEP)
and this you cannot remove or uninstall, anyone could give me a tip how to remove this damn thing ?
