Anyone know how to set up the VLC to Android Streaming? The app works great as a remote

Yeah the instructions are in the app, but I missed it the first time too so here ya go.

All you need to do is open VLC on your computer, goto View -> Add Interface -> Web Interface and accept the Windows firewall thing.

Then you open the app and put in your IPv4 address in the Settings menu (goto command prompt -> type ipconfig to find yours).

Stream away!

EDIT: Nevermind, seemed to have figured it out. But some reason I cannot pause the streaming video via the phone. Anybody know why?

Yeah this app could use a little updating. Not saying it's bad or anything but whenever you fast forward a streaming video, the sound cuts out and stays out. So you just have the video playing and nothing else. Another issue is that the app doesn't prevent the phone into going into sleepmode which really sucks. So you would have to configure your actual phone settings to always stay on if you want to use this app and plan to watch a long video/movie.

Also, whenever you want to play a .mp3 music file from your computer to your phone, nothing even loads. It just gets added to your playlist on the VLC computer program and only plays on the computer. Maybe it's just my phone that doesn't support any of that, but if it can stream video, don't know why it won't stream music.
