What about "My Phone Explorer" ? The latest version is 1.8.1. I've been using it for quiet a while now, works like a charm & I think its better than the "PC Suite For Android". It has a clean UI, no Chinese Fonts / Buttons / Ads etc.

I 've tried the "PC Suite For Android" & didn't like the UI at all, its too clumsy. Just try the "My Phone Explorer" once, you guys gonna love it...

The client needed for phone can be downloaded from the Android Market Place at:

https://market.android.com/details?id=c ... rer.client

The Desktop Software can be downloaded at:

http://www.fjsoft.at/en/downloads.php.

(*If not working, please install the drivers for your phone model on the PC & then give it a try...)

Sounds just as dubious as Applanet to me - how am I to know what kind of backdoors this is going to open to those chinese android hackers?

I'm really getting pissed off of you people fearing Chinese guys, your ignorance is indefinitely huge.
Go take a look at MIUI, just for an example, and STFU!!! (http://www.miuiandroid.com)
I fear CIA, FBI or US Gov. far more than a bunch of Chinese nerds playing with their phones.
Don't want to install this? Then don't. But don't say bullshit like that!!!

i dont recommend this software, it installs in chinese, when launched it automatically backs up and syncs your phone without any control to what its backing up and syncing, for me its very messy software :(

What's MIUI has anything to do with this?
And who's to say MIUI is safe? or not?
The android market is like the wild wild west...anything goes.
"those chinese" is kind of out of line , but you have to be pretty careful with android.

Looks nice but my vote goes with My Phone Explorer. Using since almost 3 years now. First with 2 Sony Ericsson and now Android. Works great. Dev keeps it updating and features are added with every release.
