A much better and simpler way is to use the app off the market called GL to SD
It lets you use all gameloft games off external sd and even lets you do the same for games
That normally install to android/data folder. Ie games not from gameloft.
The only thing is you need to run the app to start the games. But It works great.
I have LG optimus 2X and I have the following games working this way.
