I didn't know we were allowed to post PC warez in this section...But anyway...CloneDVD Mobile...mighty fine product.

I consider myself an expert at DVD ripping, been doing it for years, since the days of DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink (remember those?).

I used Slysoft's products for a few years but now I use DVDFab 8. Here's why:

You want to rip a DVD you just bought/rented to your phone with CloneDVD Mobile it won't work. Why? CloneDVD Mobile won't work with copy protected DVDs, which all retail DVDs are.
You will need Slysoft's AnyDVD:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

Want to copy that DVD onto a DVDR for your friend? Can't do it. You also need CloneDVD:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonedvd.html

Have a Bluray drive and want to rip a Bluray movie? Can't do it. You also need AnyDVDHD:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvdhd.html

Or you can just use DVDFab 8 which does all the above in one app. Lots of places to find it or if like me, you love portable apps here's the one I use:

I am not affiliated with that website nor am I affiliated with DVDFab. I just found it works best, has the most features and is so user-friendly even my girlfriend can rip DVDs to her Ipod.

Happy ripping!

I don't think there is supposed to be warez here, I was just saying the link worked.

Now your link Norton's flagged and deleted. Hmmm!

False postive, I'm using that same DVDFab right now.

But don't take my word for it. There are plenty of other places to get it, if you or someone you know is a member of private tracker get DVDFab 8. My point is it's a better product than Slysoft's, and I was a heavy user of Slysoft AnyDVD+CloneDVD+CloneDVDMobile.

I don't have or use any AV software, sick & tired of flase positives. I test all warez in VMWare XP & Win7 virtual machines. It's fun to see the VM get pwned, all the popups and it slows to a crawl. I revert to a snapshot I took of a fresh install and it's like the virus was never there.

I also make frequent incremental Acronis backups onto an external HD, boot sector and all. Go ahead, put a virus on my PC...I DARE YOU.

True, but there are two plusses in Slysoft's favor. First, AnyDVD is updated constantly and I suspect it will decrypt more DVDs than DVDFab. But second, AnyDVD works as a Windows driver, so if you watch commercial vids on your PC, it will let you load and fly directly to the meat of the disc instead of defaulting to all the commercial nonsense.

True, Slysoft AnyDVD is constantly updated (I still have it, using since 2003). DVDFab is also constantly updated to handle newest protection schemes. DVDFab is not a driver like AnyDVD, it is an all-in-one app. Slysoft's stuff is NOT FOR NOOBS, DVDFab is. Slysoft requires 4 separate apps to do all the same things DVDFab does.

+2

Slysoft AnyDVD does let you skip annoying adverts (FBI warnings etc.) because it disables PoP (Prohibited User Operations) on the fly. You can also watch DVDs from any region without having to change the region on your drive because it fools the disc's region check on-the-fly.

DVDFab will also let you disable Pop and change region when copying DVD to DVDR.

Just try it for yourself and see - you're talking to a veteran DVD ripper.

Wouldn't it be great if all forums had this level of intelligence in their arguments/discussions? Donated to both of you. Breath of fresh air.
