hello, I have installed version 4.0.4 and all is well, I would like to upgrade to 4.4 kitkat ...

as I can upgrade without losing any of the above?

What does the mod remove? I don't see any advertisements in the version I installed off the website. DOn't know if that's my hosts files blocking it. Or does it remove the "install these apps to continue using!" every few days?

VIP downloader doesn't work "File size is limited to 110MB"

coming from 0.9.1, i lost my play store; and shared folders from windows. the new "windows file import" system wont work, it says copied succesfully, but cannot find the files. must y uninstall and make a clean install ?

for those having issues you might try doing what i finally did:

- download the offline installer
- use bluestacks easy 2.4 to root
- use bluestacks tweaker 1.5.1 to make changes
- if amd apu make sure to use UPDATE-Superuser-v3.2a.zip not UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.02.zip (or else waste many hours wondering why no root like i did)
- read the instructions for both easy & tweaker
- i didn't make these, devs did!!!
- don't know how to use some of the functions, and some don't work for 0.9.3 (i believe these wore originally for v8)
- still haven't figured out how to change sdcard size or ram size that works (using original/offline installer works for 8gb/8gb data/sdcard though)


i'm too tired (and also getting ready for a 45+ hour fri-sun) so not posting links.
pm me if interested & i'll get the links to you by mon evening or such.

should the gapps issues be solved ? (no google play, etc.)

Has some (Play store, Maps, etc), you can download & install anything else you need.

google play wont work, 0.9.1 whas the best release... since that, always bu**sh*t issues...

Works just fine for me, have installed all of my apps.

here not, launched the play store, it opens, and directly close, W/o any FC or other.

are you using the pre-rooted version or did you download the latest installer & do it yourself? the pre-rooted versions didn't work for me.

tested the two methods, both are'nt working with gapps. it seem that /system/ cannot handle more data. (too little partition)

you're using the gapps installer? didn't realize. why? just use the installed play store to download your apps.
