Update 4/21/10:
-Changed all attachment icons to stock Android 2.0+ icons. (Screenshots)
-Changed settings icon to stock Android settings icon. (In conversation list, press menu, the settings button is changed now.)

Update 4/18/10:
-Updated to Handcent SMS version 2.9.36

Update 4/12/10:
-Resized icons so they don't look distorted on the dock of HelixLauncher.
-Recolored the send message button to go with the rest of the color scheme.

Update 4/10/10:
-Changed the "To:" text entry box for Handcent quick reply to white.

Update 4/9/10:
-Changed widget bubble color to black so the greens don't clash.
-Changed pop-up text entry box to white with orange border rather than the ugly tan color.

Updates 4/8/10:
-Updated Handcent version to 2.9.35
-Changed Handcent bubbles to chompSMS bubbles. (Both are default silver bubbles now, but in settings you can change the color back to green or whatever colors you like for the bubbles). Thanks to n1ghtwish for helping me figure this out!
-Recolored the top bar of iPhone theme to go better with new bubbles. The top bar is now more white rather than a blueish tint.

Updates:
-Changed unknown contact icon to an android robot, similar to the Nexus One.
-Changed Handcent icon to the stock android icon (little green smiley face).
-Recolored the text entry box to a white rectangle and added an orange border around to look similar to stock android phones.

You must uninstall any previous version of Handcent or Handcent Font Packs for this to work.

Is OK, I already found the way to resign back the edited NAME-OF-APP.apk and now it install. :D

1. Download this file, http://forum.androidcentral.com/attachm ... insign.zip
2. extract the file and put the entire "sign" folder inside your Android-SDK\tools\
3. Rename your NAME-OF-APP.apk to NAME-OF-APP.zip
4. Open command prompt at Android-SDK\tools\ and use the below command to resign the .apk file.

java -jar signapk.jar testkey.x509.pem testkey.pk8 NAME-OF-APP.zip NAME-OF-APP-signed.zip

5. Rename back your NAME-OF-APP.zip to NAME-OF-APP.apk and bravo! now you can install any modified app.apk file.

** NAME-OF-APP is the name or your modified app.

Actually it's a lot simpler than that. I use the autosign tool. I open up the batch file, gives me a list of 7 options in a terminal, I type 4 (which is manually resign an apk), I type in the full address of the apk (C:\Users\me\Desktop\handcent.apk), and type yes. Boom, it resigns. And with the autosign tool, it also comes with a registry file to add in Windows that lets you right click on an apk and a resign button is there. I personally don't like it that way though.

May I know where to get the auto sign tool? and are you going to release for latest updates of Handcent? :)

Here's the signing tool:

And btw, I'm doing all my updates on Android Forums for the Droid Eris, as that's what I developed it on. I can't promise much will be changed in the app if you're using a larger resolution screen than 320x480.

Link to the post. And yes, I'm doing updates as Handcent gets updated:
