The above Giovanni link, will only get you GioMod WhatsApp. Gio's another release, WhatsApp Plus is a base 2.12.246 and has adds under settings (top & bottom). Another, WhatsApp Plus release, i.e. Whatsapp Plus v7.00 /v7.11 are expired, when you install, you get the expiration message. Problem with Plus variants are, they all carry very old base, and you never know, when the dev would seize development. That's why, i'm back to Play store releases.

I hope they wont stop modding whatsapp, i'm so used to using the mods, not sure if i can go back to the stock version- the ugly looking green interface of whatsapp, i'm the kinda guy who uses whatsapp a lot and with fully dark and minimal interface, the mod lets me make the interface so dark tht ppl who look at me using it dont hav a clue i'm using whatsapp. thts wht makes whatsapp mods very useful, specially at work or formal occasions, and the plus widget saves a lot of time and battery.

If you need theming you can use xposed, if you don't have xposed you can use what'sapp GB or the whatsapp from Brian,both can find at goggle plus and both are good and both have private settings. I personal don't like to much stuff, this one give me what iI want and I use cm so theming is no problem

all mod versions r banned by whatsapp, but i hav been using mod versions since a yr now, as long as you can install the app and thr is no problem wit sms verification, its safe, i hv nvr been banned, i hav used , plus , reborn and even whatsfapp.
although a friend of mine did get banned once for using a mod, but its only temp -----lasts 2 days max and u can install the playstore stock version and they will forget abt it totally.
