this update breaks all appearance settings - you will lose them, and won't be able to apply new ones because it keeps reverting back.

to be avoided...

Hmm mine are working fine. It just initially reverted to GO Theme instead of my usual after updating but it always does that.

Oh okay, GO SMS has addressed the problem:

GO SMS Dev wrote:For GO SMS v2.0, we tried to add support for Emoji plugin, but due to one limitation of Android issue 1227, we can not smoothly upgrade users to v2.0, so we decided to roll back to v1.98 for now; and will try to find a better solution. Thanks for your understanding.

If this doesn't work for you, here is the v1.98 roll back: viewtopic.php?f=434&t=169094

I have installed this version 2.00 and I think it is working fine. Out of curiosity, I checked the Android issue 1227. I think I have figured out why my installation is working well. This issue is related to the inability of the new version to access the old data (reside in /data/data/com.jb.mms folder) due to the new version has new user id. Since before upgrading any application I always uninstall the previous version including cache and data (database, settings, etc). The data will be recreated with the new user id and the new version doesn't have any difficulty accessing the application data.

So if you still want to use the new version, please do a clean install (uninstall previous version). The new version has better interface for emoticon etc.

Glad it worked for you, I was using the new version earlier today with no problems as well, messed with the new Emojis and it was working perfectly and pretty awesome.

Then I ended up updating and instead it was the rollback haha. So I guess this is the only copy if you wanna check it out.

But I'll stick with v1.98 one for now, when the fixed version comes out, I'll post it up. They are usually pretty fast about updates. If it has the same version number, I will post it with -FIX
