1st do a clean install, uninstall any previous version.
2nd Install the app, open it, allow all permissions then reboot your device.
Tested on CM 14.1 with Android 7.1.1 and works.

Done exactly that, Balatan. I'm on stock 6.0.1, OnePlus One.
Even more, cleaned cache before uninstalling and cleaned partition cache in recovery before installing new one. Most probably they messed something up for the last updates. Made it work for more 7.1 devices but messed up the older ones
