I don't think its possible .

Yes you can...before the lasts versions it was possible to know people who joined your chat, and not only online, but i think i was a bug. When you got in the chat of the person, then it shows when contact is online. If you didnt get it the chat with this person, it shows when this person joined your chat, instead of simply online.

anyone managed to make it work with whatsapp web ? I can't get passed the qr code scan , it wont work !

edit : never mind apparently the service is down in some places .
