Is it even technically possible to spoof a return phone number being sent from a mobile? I'm not asking if it's possible to spoof a return number at all -- it is. But just from your garden variety mobile, with just an app anyone can pull down from Google Play, with no NSA cell-tower hacking or anything like that? It seems like all the apps that purport to spoof phone numbers for the RECIPIENT fail.

Spoof recipient for reply? No, it isn't. It's tricky even for emails.

Spoofing sender is possible, but I believe Play Store has Terms against that. I won't even try such an app having a Play link with it.

All these apps use there own services etc
It's like some pc apps that call home checking keys and Mac addresses and ips etc. They might work for a lil while but eventually stop working
