Another great upload. Works perfectly on my SGS. Trying to get my hands on the G.729 codec -- which isn't included with the Bria application, it's a separate purchase. The uploader doesn't need to fix anything.

It needs fixing ... it works , but needs a few tweeks for the G729 codec

That's the "What's New" taken from the Android Market information page. CounterPath had a bug with the G.729 licensing in the last release. This version fixes the in app feature to purchase the codec. Read the reviews on the Market and you'll see there are still issues with it.

At least that's how I'm seeing it.

If it's only a few tweaks to get the G.729 codec working, what are they?

Application is working fine. No issues with that. But whats not working is the G729 Codec.
Usually, the cracker cracks the app in such a way that G729 just works after the install.
As thebundyblack said, if few tweaks are required to make it work, what are they?
Better to share the steps, rather than pinging each other saying "working" "not working"

G.729 aside, the GSM codec is working great for low bandwidth WiFi connections. Still not having any luck with 3G or HSPA+ connections, though.

On decent WiFi connections, the G.711u is crystal clear. No echo, delay or drops.

I am using GSM Codec on a 3G Connection and it is quite decent. But not as excellent as G729.

GSM still isn't working for me on 3G. Is it the only codec you have enabled for 3G? Also, do you have a strategy selected? If so, which one?

My phone will ring, but as soon as I answer the line is silent on both sides.

My Settings

User Preferences -> Allow Cellular Data -> Ticked

Advanced Settings -> Codec Options

Cell Audio Codecs
Tick ONLY GSM and SILK-NB, Higher Priority also Ticked

Wifi Audio Codecs
Tick ONLY G711u, Higher Priority Unticked

As of now, I am using GSM Codec on 3G with these settings.

Before all this, make sure your VOIP Service Provider (For instance, mine is VoIPDiscount) supports GSM.

Thanks for the info! My configuration matches yours, but still no love. The person on the other end can hear me, but I get no audio from them. I'm thinking that I have to untick "Global IP 3G", and then test various combinations of the ICE 3G / STUN 3G settings. We'll see how it goes!

Yup! If I have STUN 3G and ICE 3G both ticked it works like a charm.
