Yes you can once you have followed the instructions posted by Laserbeamz.

To get these mods to work you have to: install the original app from the playstore, create new account and login, then use a data backup app to back up the app's data, uninstall the app, download the mod and install it, go to the backup app and install the data to the modded app, that's it. ( I'm using huawei backup app that came with my phone, it's super great and convenient)

For logging in issues this has worked for me on Android 8 oreo its same for TextNow and 2ndLine. For 2ndline you will of course download and install 2ndline v6.30.2

Hey guys I figured it out. Textnow and 2ndLine are pretty much same apps. This procedure should work for both.
Use a site like APKPure and download v6.39.0.1 of Textnow
Delete/Uninstall anything related to Textnow
Run text now and create a new account - I used normal disposable email
Once account is created and the app is usable close the app
Use a backup app like Titanium backup ROOT is required! If you do not have root use your mfg backup app like huawei's or LG's etc they do not require root
Once the app is backed up - uninstall it completely
Download and install the cracked app from here
Once installed DO NOT RUN
Open titanium backup and restore your data only
Open TextNow after data restored
Login with your newly created account
All works :-]

Only rooted devices and do a data backup and restore. Because this requires root access to read and write this type of file. It's one of the reasons why I only buy rootable phones myself.
