Note: In this way will lose your number, account and conversations.

1. Log into Google account smartly password storage and delete TextNow if there.
2. If the same as gmail change the primary email address associated with your Facebook account with a free outlook.com email.
3. Download and install patched version.
4. Choose Facebook as login option and use the new primary email login.
5. Register a new TextNow account and pick a new number.

Log in with cracked app is NOT POSSIBLE. Using original app with ads - everything works as expected (log in, texting, etc.). So something is off with cracking.

I just tried it on an unrooted phone and it DOESN'T work.


Nothing has changed.


I've posted about this problem many times in the past. The issue comes after the app takes your user name and password.

In an unmodded app, the next step is a question about setting up dialer permissions. The modded app is somehow suppressing this question/popup and it leaves the app broken at that point.


I believe I have a solution to this problem but no one seems to want to listen to me.

I've posted this a few times and sent a few PMs but no one has ever said if and why this can or can not be done.

It does not work the way you explained. I do have original app (with ads). I could not install patched one WHILE original is installed as it complains 'cannot install due to signature...' or something in that contest.
Clarify 'sign with the same signature...'. I am not android app developer so how do I do that?

Seems like with TomTom it only works if booted and uninstalled but via the app manager and not any other method of uninstall e.g. Play Store.

I don't think you understood what I was saying.


I want the modder to take the PlayStore app and ONLY change the signature* so that we could then install that app which has only the signature changed and then once that app is logged in we could install the mod on top of it because they would then have the same signature.

To sum it up:

The modder needs to release a pair of apks that have the same signature on them.

One is the same as the PlayStore app with only the signature changed so we can log in.

The second apk, which would be the ad-free mod and would have the same signature as the first apk so we could install the mod on top of the first apk.


Sorry if this is confusing it's not easy to explain.

My idea was always, both now and when I posted it in the past, being directed toward the modder or anyone else who cared to and had the ability to re-sign an apk.

Way back in the days of ice cream sandwich I played with signatures etc of apks but in this day and age it requires tools and abilities I lack myself. But as far as I know this is not a difficult task for someone with those tools.

Essentially there needs to be a way of overwriting an official installation with patched (even if fooling app to think it is a newer version)... though I suspect if it were possible it would have already been done?
