If you are rooted I can post the details on how to get it working.
Please provide details ??
Thanks.
OK.
First, ignore this v20 app. Go back to v6.X
This is not a perfect science so try to follow along.
(Have a copy of Titanium Backup installed, you will need it.)
What you will need to do if you have never used TextNow is go to there website and set up an account so you have a login and password.
You will need an unaltered PlayStore v6.X app to install.
Once you have that app installed open it and use your login and password.
At this point, you should have a working TextNow WITH ads.
Open Titanium Backup and make a backup of your install, the one WITH the ads.
Once you have the backup uninstall the TextNow WITH ads.
Now install a modded ad-free TextNow.
Once that is installed (don't try to run it) go back to Titanium Backup and restore just the DATA from your prior backup.
If all went well you should now have a working logged in ad-free TextNow.
A few things to point out...
I've never tried this with anything over version v6.29 but your mileage may vary.
As way of explanation... what you're doing is using the PlayStore app to log in and create the data file which you then capture with Titanium Backup. That data can then be used to bypass the login problems with the modded ad-free app.
If you do get a working ad-free TextNow install make backups of everything with Titanium Backup and save the apk files also.
One last thing once you're up and running be grateful and stop looking at updating the app. Don't chance it, nothing is gained by updating and you could be left locked out.
