CallRecorder v1.2.7
Requirements: Android 2.2+
Overview: This program records phone calls from the phone line on some phones.

Such recording is not usually available out-of-the-box, it needs hardware support in your OS kernel and root access. If you have an HTC device, you're in clover if you've got a custom ROM. Otherwise, please visit the xda site, there're plenty. Basically any device is supported, provided that it's based on a Qualcomm chip, say, their Snapdragons, etc. If your device has no such support, the program still records phone calls, but you need to select Android API in preferences and the recording will most likely proceed from the mike, not from the line. Please feel free to make any comments or send suggestions.

This is the best Call Recording app in Play Store, I've tried practically all of them and this one has the clearest recording both ways. (SGS2

Sadly not compatible with JB at the moment.

Check out Call+Note Pro. I used that for some time before finding CallRecorder. It's really good - it has a widget where you can also record audio notes, etc.

Or look at Hongbo Call Recorder v1.0 - This was the first I ever used (HTC Wildfire v2.1 or v2.2.1 (I forget), Samsung etc, etc).

Hope I was of some help :)

It might have an entry in "device administrators" try going to settings > security > device administrators and uncheck callrecorder if you found it there, then try uninstalling

Thanks for your response. Appreciate it!
However I could boot find the Security menu under Android settings. Perhaps out its only there under newer OS versions?

SOLVED: Upgraded to 1.2.9. Then i was finally able to upgrade to 1.3.5 and could then be uninstalled.
Reinstalled 1.3.5 and everything working! :)

Thanks for your help.
