Yeah. It was free for life if you subscribed before 3/31/2010. Don't know what they're charging now.

Either way it's a free app.

Glad I hopped on this months ago... i'll never have to pay for updates. Excellent phone protection too! No way to crack it as it reads your EMEI and you have to manage your account online.

Me too, glad I went through Wavesecure's beta period and got the lifetime deal, it's already saved my phone from being lost on a bus: I used a friend's phone, texted the pin to the phone and had the alarm shrieking so loud that the bus driver stopped the bus and found my phone. Well worth it.

yep I think so.
In fact you need to provide your phone number to login on WaveSecure website. WaveSecure then check your IMEI (and you have to enter your NIP on your phone for configuration). So they check both phone number AND IMEI.
That mean: licenses are for ONE phone number and ONE phone (probably hard to hack this IMHO)

BTW: rooted phoned will prefer this version (has to be flashed from a custom recovery)

Main avantage: cannot be removed, even after hard reset (coz the apk will be on /system, which is read only, except for root )

In fact you "trace" your phone with phone/internet mobile network NOT with GPS (because WaveSecure cannot turn your GPS on, "Android" limitation, this need root) BUT: The version for rooted phone can activate GPS (see my previous post)
Anyway you have to log on WaveSecure website and then you can lock, backup, wipe, activate alarm, trace, backup ... your phone
If your phone has been stolen: lock it, and change the lock message with something like: I can lock my phone, find your SIM number then call the police ... or whatever you want (of course if you too rude your phone will be throw away by the thief (don't freak him, lol)
Then 2 solutions: either sms/call the "thief" (maybe assume he/she is innocent and ask for a "lost" phone...)
If the person want to give it you back: great
If the person doesn't want: just tell the police (don't forget you know where is your phone and who has it)
Of course if the thief remove battery you're fucked up (anyway if you have his number, ....)

I installed the program and now I have to enter my phone number.... I enter it and It counts 3 minutes for verification and nothing happend no sms.
