I have the same problem.. Previous version works fine, but this one (mobilism one) doesn't ask for root perm.

Yes, you can remove it, you just have to uncheck the root access ok

Uncheck it from where, when? before or after i install the app?

i'm asking this because Notion said that he already made all of those apps to work with root access on the phones that support it... is there another option, after the install, to uncheck root access and uninstall the app?

We really recommend not to install this or any cracked version of theft aware. we had reports of cracked versions hiddenly sending premium SMS. you might want to check your carrier bill after installing the crack.

I posted this warning already. It got deleted by thread owner or admin. This is alarming - dont you think?

If it is secretly sending premium SMS than it is from the developer and only the developer, which means that it was implemented into the app before it got posted.

Sorry to post again, but I still do not managed to use the ROOT support of this app, although Notion certifies that it should work automatically on rooted devices.

I use a Samsung Galaxy S with Gingerbread STOCK (JVB) and CF-Root Kernel.

Here are some of the benefits of this application if root-mode is functional:

- TA installs itself into the system partition, even on phones with NAND protection, meaning it will not be affected by even full system wipes/resets. The only way to get TA off the phone is by deleting the app via adb, if you know exactly what you’re looking for, or by flashing a new ROM.

- The app is completely invisible not just in the app launcher (any app can do that already), but also in the app manager (Settings > Applications > Manage)

- Moreover, if a thief starts Theft Aware and finds it in the "currently running apps" section of the app manager, he or she will not only fail to uninstall it (see above for why), but also won’t be able to delete any of its settings by pressing "Clear Data" – all settings are written to /system the same way as the app itself and are wipe-proof.

Thanks for help

@Notion

I am with ITAgents - we develop and sell Theft Aware. I would really appreciate you to stop posting cracked versions of our tool.

It's so much work and costly to develop it. We are a rather small company and can't afford to loose so many customers.
Since you wouldn't crack it if it wasn't a good product I think you all should get a clean legal version.

I can offer you to contact me via PN to get a 30% discount on the regular price.

Its funny how you first post a fake warning that crackers have put premium sms and then when that does not work you beg for people to stop posting and cracking your app.
