Hi Maranello
Great to see u as the one who posted Eset Mobile Security
Will give it a try and compare with Extreme Blocker...
One problem I find with Extreme blocker is that in call blocking it does not give the option for actual blocking the call. It picks up and hangs the call...and the call actually comes even though only for a min 0.1 sec, but it doesnt actually block...it picks up and drops.....so bad for the caller as he is charged. Wouldnt want that always !!!
Anyway will try to compare both and will look forward to your comments too as you too have used both

strange issue, when i was using extreme call blocker it didn't let the call came true, after a predetermined time, in mine case 0.x seconds it automatically rejected the call, but sometimes it just failed to do even that simple job...

so i replace with with eset, which is amazing, no call blocking problems anymore, i'll just have to wait and see how it will perform on the long run

hi
I tried ESET, which I think has a decent call blocking option.
But benefits of Extreme call blocker - Blocks SMS. Has a decent Private box option where messages with defined numbers are stored and all conversations (call logs and sms) are saved and kept private. Lets you backup ur data (though in a very cra**y way!!!) Also lets you automatically retrieve sms from Stock SMS application when they were sent from outside the application. And also has that neat option of clearing the private box and faking the private box, along with that option of locking the private box by just turning the phone. :)
So I think for a better and overall privacy feature Extreme Call Blocker is slightly better. Just an opinion.

hi

I`m new with android,... honestly i just have started last Friday,... and I have a question I really do not know if it is a stupid one or not....

You have two ways of downloading the app, one is through apk file and the other one is a zip file with files and folders inside , so my question is if i download the zip file how or to where do I copy it to ????

Insolito_pt - if you are downloading the zip file from your computer, just use winzip, winrar, 7zip, etc to open the zip or rar file and then plug your phone in via usb or if you have a dropbox account drag and drop to either your dropbox or to your phone. If you are using your phone to download the zip or rar file then you need androzip. Once you download the zip or rar on your phone and androzip is installed, androzip will automatically start and unzip the files for you on your phone and then just click on the apk and click install and your good to go.

some hosting sites won't accept .apk files, so i had to change the extension to .zip, just rename it back from .apk to .zip

What worries me is there hasn't been a single update to the database in the two weeks that I've been running this app.

maybe the fact that it is in beta stage has something to do with the updates, but i also don't think that it needs every day update, as the pc app, the security threats on Android are far smaller

Sorry to bump a 5-month old thread, but is this the full version or is it the 30 days/1 month trial and also there's a new version out at eset's mobile section which is 1.0.288.233, can that be updated and cracked?

this is the full RC version, not final. the final version is available on eset site just as trial, so if u want to use eset, this is the only way for know.

i'm using it since the first beta stage and still going strong with this RC, no issues and absolutely no system lag
