Is there any way to stop this app from playing a notification sound every time it blocks an Ad or tracker? It's really annoying...
I also agree that this app isn't as good as Adguard. It doesn't seem to have any filter lists for preventing the detection of using an Ad-Blocker, so its unless on sites that use those annoying anti Ad Block scripts to withhold content unless you disable your Ad Blocker.

ABSOLUTELY!
I was using AdGuard on my new, non-rooted Android devices for a while and started wondering about issues on my all these devices:
- FTP processes would randomly fail, any app (TotalCommander, ES File Explorer..)
- my SIP phone app (connecting my Android devices to my landine router) would not reconnect after WLAN toggles
- video clips would still start with annoying advertising in RSS feeds
- even if EXCLUDING apps from the control of Adguard they would STILL fail to run properly
Finally I found out why; AdGuard is the reason for all these problems! When deactivating AdGuard the problems disappeared. So I switched to Blokada and none of these issues occurred at all, Blokada happily chomping along in the background.
Apparently AdGuard has serious issues in detecting services of other apps and their ports (FTP uses more than poert 21!).
Endless discussions with AdGuard support, sending in protocols and logs did not solve anything; eventually they stopped responding, for a reason.
I am very happy with this Blokada, a quiet and very useful companion. There are probably better Adblockers for ROOTED devices, but for un-rooted systems this one is my absolute favorite
Thanks for the new release!
