Yeah... I don't know anything about that app too.....

This is the android version of wireshark.
It basically logs all incoming and outgoing network traffic thru the device.
So we can analyze any potential rogue traffic (or we are the one go rogue ), to see if the dev is dev-il (trying to steal our data)

I use it mainly for educational purpose and some sort of hacking. Several example is :
1. Detect ads server (DNS) in a game and we can add this manually to our adblocker or hosts file (Most of the time is for this)
2. Learning some app protocol, such as Discovering that Es file Explorer protocol is using bonjour service. So we need to unblock the port at the router in order for EFE to works properly (or block it to deny access)
3. Decode the network traffic from my wifi smart switch. So I can mimic the network traffic from UDP sender plugin at tasker. It means basically I can control my wifi switch through tasker, even it doesn't support tasker plugin natively.

All the things this app do is available at wireshark. But wireshark require ur phone to connect ur virtual wifi hotspot from ur laptop/PC, so it can read the traffic. Sometimes it is painful to set it up and not mobile friendly. At most cases, I will log the traffic from phone, send the .cap file to PC, and analyze it using wireshark. But yeah, the learning curve is painful though.

How do it through this app? Can you guide me.
I've no idea how use it. This is my first time.

It will be too long to explain. We need to understand basic networking 1st.
The short tutor will be, open wi.cap, start capturing.

• Then open the app we want to sniff/shark to find out the dns ads server.
• Wait until ads come out.
• Exit the game, switch to wi.cap, stop capturing.
• Find the one with the dns protocol and note down the domain name.
• Add the domain found to the adblocker list.

So you're saying that this app helps you to find the IP of ad servers. That's it? Nothing else?
I thought there will be a lot more than just IP searching.

I haven't had a chance yet. I'm pretty sure you can connect to a wifi device on the same network as you and snoop/sniff/spy at what their browser is making connections to. Is that correct?
