Mod version is used to hide it from other programs
Now that LP includes an xposed module the mod version might be going away soon. Just need for LP hiding (in a manner similar to RootCloak) to be added to the xposed module.
So the Lucky Patcher v5.4.7.1293 Pro MOD means it is the PRO version which is HIDDEN in applications list (not sure how you remove it then...)
Right?
So the MOD includes an Xposed module? I don't have Xposed Framewrk on my phone. Not aware of what I should have on it. No one has written any lists of A-Z apps you *must* install when rooting phone.
Why not just rename the Application name and change the application ID #??? That would prevent applications finding it!

That is what the mod version does. It has the package name changed to that of a system app installed on a few phones (com.android.protips, a thing that gives you "how to use" tips on the home screen) and a few other things. Though there is a new version out that can hide LP from other apps. Typically that kind of thing is done selectively, so it would not be hidden from the launcher or the app manager (which is where you go to uninstall apps).
Before the Xposed module you had to either patch Android itself or manually patch each app you wanted to use the in app purchase emulation with. The Xposed module does the framework patch as an in memory patch so you don't have to patch anything.
That being said Xposed is very handy as you can do things like hide root from apps (RootCloak has it's own list and you can add apps to that list), selectively control permissions (so you can say no, you can't have my location Facebook), make pandora not only give you unlimited skips and no ads but let you download the currently playing song by pressing the thumbs up button (pandora patcher), and so on.
