SetCPU for Root Users v2.1.2.1
Requirements: Android OS 2.1 - 2.3
Overview: SetCPU is a tool for changing the CPU settings (capable of overclock and underclock) on a rooted Motorola Droid, Nexus One, G1, G2, Samsung Galaxy S, myTouch 4G, or one of many other devices to improve performance or save battery.

SetCPU also allows you to set up profiles to change the CPU speed under certain conditions, such as when the phone is asleep or charging, when the battery level drops below a certain point, or when the phone's temperature is too high. See the screenshots for examples of how you might set up profiles.

SetCPU's wide feature set make it useful to beginners and enthusiasts alike. Accelerate your processor to unleash your phone's multitasking potential, or dial your CPU's speed down to save battery.

Have an HTC Sense device with a stock ROM or kernel? If you are having trouble getting your settings to "stick," press Menu > Disable Perflock. You still have to be rooted.

Galaxy S devices: conservative scaling is recommended (ondemand on the Nexus S). There are issues with Galaxy S kernels that may result in crashes if some other scaling governors are used, or if the sleep profile "max" value is set too low.

What's in this version:
2.1.2 - Minor update. Adds a time of day based profile which will trigger based on a set time range. Fixes a bug with profiles and certain dual core kernels. Switched to the Android 3.0 SDK. Note that on some Tegra 2 kernels, scaling is completely controlled by the driver.
More profile triggers, actions, and a new user interface are in development.

I had 2.04 installed.
Iupdated and started the program.
It asked me to scan for frequencies and I did it.
Then...it force closed...

It's a free application. You can download it from the official xda thread. The one on the market has a price because it's the "donate version".

Must have application for Android. I like the profiles defining. Fucking awesome.

Edit: for those whom having problems with it, delete the previous version BEFORE installing this one. I had FCs also but after reinstalling works great.
