I had the old version of SD Maid (before v0.8.9.2) installed. I removed that version, rebooted my Thunderbolt, installed the version listed in this thread and the unlocker. For some reason, it does NOT work. I did try to reboot and click on "Exist SD Maid" before installing the unlocker.

However, when I tested this on another Thunderbolt phone, which does NOT have SD Maid installed at all, it works.

It seems that SD Maid left some license checking file, even when the app is uninstalled, to detect this.

It works for most of us though. Have your tried uninstalling, rebooting, clearing cache (even checking data/data), rebooting again, then finally installing this new one?
Also, make sure that you uninstall both app and unlocker.
