Hi there,

I'm unable to uninstall the previous version of Rom Manager. On trying to install this version, the message I receive is that ROM manager is a system app.
Please can you guide me through removing the old version?

Many thanks.

I assume you're using Cyanogen? You need to either use Titanium Backup or Root Explorer to remove the app.

Titanium is probably your easiest option. Find ROM Manager in the <Backup/Restore> tab. Long press it and select <Convert to user app>. Then press <Menu>. Then <Batch>. Then <Un-install all users apps>. Make sure you <Deselect all>. Find ROM Manager and check it and then <Run the batch operation>.
