I have the same question and problem. Hope someone can help us.

You'll have to download and install RootExplorer...

1.) Open RootExplorer and navigate to system/apps
2.) Click R/O in the top right of the screen to make the system R/W
3.) Replace the RomManager.apk that is in system/apps with the one from this thread (making sure to rename the one from here to RomManager.apk)
4.) Long press the new RomManager.apk and select Permissions
Change them to match all the others by:
a.) Selecting the first two option in the first row
b.) Select only the first option in the second row
c.) Select only the first option in the third row
5.) Click on R/W
6.) Reboot

Tried all of the above and get an error, no space left (i actually have about 40megs free). where am I going wrong?

hmmm finally got it installed using Titanium Backup. Now when I try to "check for ROM updates" I get the message "feature only available to premium users" :(
