hey ..! do i need too root my phone to install this .? im useing Dell streak 5 on android 2.2 official rom. thanx please help me with this im looking for perfect back up app without any roots.

Try it you won't be sorry. If you are unhappy with the App you can always uninstall it (Android is good at this).

On a side note, You do in fact need root for this app. It will NOT work without root.

Ok, I stand corrected, this isn't the version that requires root. They have 2 versions now, MyBackup Pro, and MyBackup Root.
