There’s a brand-new settings menu, as well as click-to-read explanations of app permissions (not developer customizable, unfortunately). There’s also a brand-new Market icon to spruce things up.

Oh, and did we mention you can now use a custom PIN for purchases on your phone, instead of leaving your Google Checkout wide open for anyone that picks up your device? If you have kids, or your phone is stolen, this is one awesome feature to have – and really, it makes a lot of sense.

You can get the new Market .apk here, root access is not required, but you’ll need Unknown Sources enabled in the Settings -> Applications menu to install it.

Uploader didn't post correct instructions. This is frome the xda forums:

1. You can use the signed apk method and try a few things:
a. uninstall updates in settings/apps/manage/all/market.. then use root explorer and delete any signs of Vending.apk or com.android.vending.apk from system/app, data/app, and data/data.. then reboot. Install the apk like normal and it will be in data/app.. go ahead and try it out now.. try buying an app, etc... move it to system/app and rename Vending.apk if needed.. then reboot...

b. This is how I did it on Liquid GB 2.6... I simply flashed the update.zip in recovery after wiping dalvik cache and it flashed fine and everything works!
