I already have the 1.4.0 Lite version.

I have a rooted HTC Desire, but whenever I attempt to change ANYTHING under /system, the phone re-boots ..!?

I've tried to create the file as explained above (I can browser to /system/etc no problems) but like I say, soon as I try to create the file - REBOOT!
(and file isn't there).

I'm very new to the phone-rooting scene (only did it this week), so any help is appreciated.
TIA!

[EDIT]
Problem solved - Even though I had rooted my phone, it seems I had not disabled the security (the elusive S-OFF) which was protecting the "/system" folder. Downloaded a toold to do that (called 'Revolutionary') and that sorted it.

Be careful though - there's the possibility of bricking your phone when rooting/attempting S-OFF, so ALWAYS read the instructions TWICE !!!

[2nd EDIT]
Having done all that, I STILL don't see the "Pro" version?
How can I tell? I goto Database and am still seeing adverts at the bottom... ?

Link to: ROM Toolbox and grab latest ver., it actually has this same exact app contained, plus many more useful features.

This app is from ROM Toolbox, just a stand-alone app.

Plus, "Root Explorer" is the best anyway.
